Scope of Work

Memphis City Schools will partner with Discovery Education to build the capacity of three schools to support technology integration across the core curriculum areas.  Educators will be empowered to use formative assessments, data and media to create individualized instruction and motivate students to achieve academically.  Through professional development, teachers will learn content integration strategies, effective use of assessments to target areas of need, and how to design lessons around those skills using digital media.

A Day of Discovery was the kickoff for this technology initiative February 16, 2009.  This one day conference engaged teachers in learning 50 effective media integration as an instructional tool.  Additional days will be scheduled in the spring of 2009.
